The Female Side..
Yesterday was the 1st day that i switched over to the female side..i thought with us, 3 students on 1 side, each taking 6 cases would be kind of relax, but i was so wrong! Well, 1st of all, i am not familiar with my patients, yet i have to take 6 cases. 2ndly, i have 2 pts on NGT, 1 DIL, 2 toilet bathing, and so many interruptions! Asking me to translate on 2 occasions.. 3rdly, 1 patient had low BP and the DR ordered to run a N/S STAT, but i just off that pt's plug as it was swelling and had redness already. So i told him, you've got to set the plug first. But as he was busy checking on the other patients, i waited..and waited..i reminded him 2 times i think..

In between, he even came up to me and said: "Hey, do you know how to prepare a catheterization set?"
I said: "Ya, but for which pt ah? You're doing for a Male or Female?"
He said: "Male. I don't do for females."
But in my heart i'm thinking, "I am not covering male side now..and i have to rush to do my changes, write my reports..i got no time to help u man, why cant u ask the other side staff? just because i'm a student want to bully me ah."
So i said: "I'm busy, sorry."
And he actually rolled his eyes and mumbled: "Think i'm not busy?"

Fine lor! So idoitic..i think he is irritated that i kept asking him to set the plug for my pt..But its true what, he ordered a STAT dose, which we have to give immediately..But pt have no plug what..shouldn't setting plug be his priority no.1? If the DR is competent, setting plug only needs 5mins what..Not only this incident is pissing me off abt him lor..The changes he ink out in the IMR always got things which are incomplete one..And i always have to go running back to him and ask him to sign, or re-write his order because he never write the dosage. And i cant really remember, but i think that time it was him that i stopped from giving the wrong IV maxalon. Argh! So much for this DR man..

Am i complaining too much? All in all, i didn't have the best day yesterday..Time went by so quickly, everytime i look at the clock, 2 hours have already passed! And i could only finish my report writing at 2pm! When my friends are passing report, i am still thinking anymore changes to add in..That's how chaotic and busy i am..

I'm just so glad i am having a Day off today..I woke up to a very very bad leg cramp this morning..The longest and the most painful leg cramp i've got so far..Ergh..Hate leg cramps!
