Home sweet home..on a saturday! Hahaha..i'm staying home to watch taiwan's golden horse awards tonight..And suppose to study for my final theory which is on tues, since i'm going out tmr to meet my dears from aussie..
Yesterday was the best working day for me so far! hehe..Though it started out not too good early in the morning coz 14 had no AU girl..I went to help open up the theatre..Then "G" came in at 8.20, one word of thanks also don't have, then she start nagging at me about why i put haesteril in the warmer? Did the anaesthetist ask me to put? Why i put BP cuff on pt in the induction room? Where is the tracium pump.Blah blah! argh..So sickening..SN YH also overheard, and was laughing away in one corner of the induction room loh..haha..
After that i just went back to my theatre, and don't bother about her..I was supposed to have 4 cases, but ended up with 2 small cases only..The first hernia pt came in, put on the table, put up monitoring devices, then my anaesthetist saw abnormal ecg rhythms..The pt has bigeminy..i went to bring the 12 lead in, did one then the anaesthetist and surgeon discussed, and decided to put the pt back to the day surg area whie they sent his bld to the lab to investigate..Then, we continued with the 2nd pt, another hernia..Then, the 1st pt told the drs that he wants to postpone the op..3rd pt is a haemorrhoidectomy, and last case lap chole is cancelled, coz pt called in and say that he is not feeling well. My list ended at 1pm! haha..So then i had to go over to 14 and 15 to help out..Both are big cases, both needs bloods, both need ABGs, i became like a runner loh when the other 2 AU went for lunch break..I even ran to BTS for the bloods myself..Public must think i'm a mad person running out from IMH, this girl in a green cap, white robe, blue shoe covers..Really look like alien la..but no choice, i have to be thick skin and run for my patient who is bleeding in the theatre, and HB only 8! :P
Then after that i spent my remaining free time cleaning and topping up my theatre..And coiling the CO2 tubing for all the theatres..haahaa..After work, fen and i went to forum shopping centre, for dinner..She brought me to California, this restaurant that sells pasta and pizza..She's been telling me its very nice, but i always forget to go..haha..We shared a peppperoni pizza, and this pasta which had prawns, beef cubes, and chicken in it, (can't remember the name), and we shared their brownie topped with a vanilla ice-cream, and apple crisps with caramel..Super filling and delicious..Then, we went Toys 'R' Us to havoc..haha..Look at the whacky photos..
Baby Patrick..wahaha! Was so tempted to bring him home with me..I was carrying him from the time i entered, to the time i exit..But i decided not to buy him in the end..Diana, this is the one you bought right? $29.90 each. Crime Scene: Elmo and cookie monster murdered! Who is the murderer?! muahaha!
And i gave myself a little present, well, as a bonus! haha..I've always wanted one.. Presenting: Mr. Potato Head!! ^.^ Shall post more pictures of him soon..So funny lah, there are so many body parts to interchange with..But it doesn't have his angry eyes..I was hoping that it will be inside..haha! Fen also bought one, but she bought the Transformers version of Mr Potato Head for her bf..Optimus Prime le..haha!
Today OTS had an early Christmas celebration in our dining hall..I was in bank 1-9 again, but luckily most theatres are all cleaned already by the staff yesterday, so i only had to go in and check, top up a little here and there, tick checklist, that's all..Went to relieve the EOT gals, went for the party for about 20mins, got a water bottle as door gift, saw Dr Nelson Chua teach how to make balloon animals, then grabbed some sushi, and a plate of food off the table and gobbling it up before going back up the theatre to help EOT again..
Ciao, i'm so sleepy..Want to get a quick nap..Jie will be home from Bangkok tonight!
