Hong Kong Trip, 11th Dec-15th Dec 2007

Waiting to board the plane at the airport..

Its the first time that the 2 of us are going on a holiday together..

An estimated 4 hour plane ride, on a budget airline, with no TV, no video, no magazine, no food, not even a mineral bottle. (you have to purchase it on flight). We were so bored, yet too excited to fall into deep sleep..Luckily we have our ipod! hehe..
Our plane was delyaed due to the late flight back from HK, The plane only departed at 4 plus, and reached HK at about 20:30. Damn, wasted our precious shopping time..

We were so hungry when we reached HK international airport, we ran to find krispykreme donuts, said to be the best worldwide..And gobbled up a donut each..Needless to say, it was fantastic! It has a chewy and cripsy texture..And its chilled, unlike the ones we find in singapore where it is soft, and served warm..Must try when you're in HK.

We bought the airport transfer MTR ticket, which includes a 2 way airport transfer, and 3 day unlimited MTR pass. All for $60. A very good deal, coz it also includes the disneyland resort line.

2 tourists studying the MTR map..

After checking in at our hotel, it was already 22:00 when we left our hotel again for dinner and shopping..We quickly plopped ourselves down into a cha chan ting, and ordered a bowl of beef brisket soupy noodle each..Its so shiok..

Ya Ma Tei, the station that we alight everyday to walk over to our hotel. Its a 10min walk over to Mongkok, and its a shopping paradise over there!

Day 2: Off to Hong Kong Disneyland!

On board the disneyland resort express train: I've got minnie mouse ears!

Dumbo The Elephant!

My Minnie Mousey Sis. hehe!

My beloved chipmunks & i.

The magical castle. If this is beautiful, it looks 10 times better over there. :)

A big fat kiss from Minnie!

Us with dear mickey. Oh, do you know that when they go for toilet breaks, minnie actually waits for mickey outside the tent, and then they will lovingly hold hands, and walk off together! haha! So cute la..

Us with my sis's colleagues and goofy!

Diana, here's your lovely belle!

Sufi, here's your most hated snow white. haha! But she was so into character, posing along..haha!

Day 3: Shopping Day!! MTR station: Causeway Bay, Central, Tsim Sha Tsui

Stopping over at kripsykreme again for donuts! hehe..yum yum!

We took the peak tram to go up to the peak in the evening for a spectacular, but cold and chilly Hong Kong peak view.

And after that, we went in to Madame Tussads, the wax museum. (Also located at the peak.)

Playing the piano for Jay Chou.

Walking down the red carpet with Brad & Angelina.

Detective Yan with Andy Lau.

Double Twins Action!

We took a ride on the open roof double deck bus, howling our way down, and cruising down to star ferry terminal where we took a ferry to kowloon, where we walked down the avenue of stars.

Day 4: Macau experience..

Here's what i found for you sufi! hehe..

We visited the ruins of St Paul's.

Bought their famous pork chop bun..

Bought delicious portugese egg tarts..

And then got stranded at the ferry terminal because there were so many people we had to wait 1 and a half hour for our ferry back to Hong Kong. sighz..

We "dumped" all our cookies, biscuits, egg tarts at our hotel, and ran back out to shop, and look around at Lan Kwai Foong. A popular chill out place for tourists, and ang mohs..Kind of like our Clarke Quay.

Last Day: Breakfast at mido cafe, the most delicious, and chewy.."Po Lo Bao!" Sorry to say, but its 10 times better than crystal jade's! wahaha..

Delicious Yee Sen's chocolate milk pudding!!

I love Hong Kong! It is a true shopping and food paradise! In HK, the thing is you can walk into any shop, even though it looks run down, but you can still find good food. wahaha! Their MTR is also very convinient and fast. Just grab a tourist map, and there are food recommendations, hotel recommendations..People there are real friendly too..They do speak a bit of english. And even though our Cantonese is a little "boo boo", they listen very patiently and do not laugh at the way you speak. Departmental stores are opened till late, about midnight..They get to wear nice winter clothes during winter, where boots and woolen jackets/caps are a must for all during the night..hehe..I would plan to go back there in the future, probably after Taiwan, Japan, and Australia? ^.^
