The stage.
i went with my brother to the Sony Ericsson Floating on music water concert..We went to queue up at a time that is super unbelievable..9am! But we reached late la..haha..We met xue fang and koh mei at kallang mrt, then we wanted to cab down, then when we were on the cab, we realised that the roads were blocked due to the standard chartered marathon! We were turning around in circles trying to look for a way in, then the traffic police told the cabby that there is no way to go in, we will have to walk in ourselves. So we ended up paying him $5 for his petrol, and trying to find a way. *diao*
So we walked in, and when we reached there, i was rather surprised that there was only a few people..Like slightly more than 10 only? Saw xiu yue and some of the familiar faces..The sun was already blazing hot! Yes, i got sun burnt, even though we opened our umbrellas..haha..oh wells, finally i can stop michael from telling me to go for a tan..haha!
Oh, remember kallang's old leisure park? It has revamped into a totally new building! Very colourful structure, and the ice skating rink is back!! It is located on the 3rd or 4th floor, called kallang ice world. Adults need to pay $14 for 2 hours of skating time, and $3.50 for skates rental. Finally we have a new ice skating rink, don't have to cramp at the jurong east one already.. hehe! Some shops are already opened, like Pastamania, subway, koufu foodcourt, poh kim vcd shop, watsons, kbox, but most shops are not occupied yet..So its still rather empty..Can check out the ice skating rink though. hehehe...
Okay, so fast forward to the time when we enter the concert venue ok? haha..We entered at about 6.30pm, and we got to stand in the centre of the concert stage, like as in the "hole". The stage is like a H shape, so we are standing at the 2 hollow sides of the H, and we are really really close to the performers, and the band. Its so cool loh! When i go to indoor stadium for the concert, it is so restricted..This concert is definitely more interactive..
There were 3 performers last night, the main one being lee hom of course. haha..Then, there were 2 guest stars, Huang Yi Da, and this malaysian idol winner, Daniel Lee who performed 5 songs each. Lee Hom only appeared at about 8.30pm.. And that's when the whole concert atmosphere really started!! His first song was a slow and jazzy version of wo men de ge, then it was gai shi ying xiong dao lai! His live band and dancers were great..The same few who were always with him for concerts..Except for some minor mistakes that the band made, and the not-so-good sound system, the whole concert on the whole was super high! Lee Hom came down the stage to shake our hands..hehe! And we passed him a christmas hat to wear, that the whole fanclub was wearing too..And he really did wear it, for a couple of songs..haha! The whole concert came to an end with the finale song being wei yi..
After the concert, a few of us even had the chance to see him get out of the venue, and shake hands with him again, before he is zoomed off in the van..haha..It was a super cool night..Never thought that i would get so up-close at a concert before..
