Busy missy!!
Its been a real busy neuro week..sighz..And because i was there the whole week, i saw a patient coming back for Op thrice in 2 consecutive days..Let's call him Mr O. He came in the first time as an elective operation, was stable during the op, was extubated with no complications, to HD. He was able to verbalise that he was in pain or was cold to us after the op..Then, about 3 hours later, we got a call that Mr O is coming back to theatre, and it was an emergency. He desaturated in HD, and was re-intubated there..Not too sure what happened, heard that it was a clot or something..Poor thing..Then yesterday morning, we received a call that there is a P1 neuro case coming in, and to my surprise, i saw Mr O for the third time..Poor man..I hope he is alright..This shows how unpredictable, and dangerous operations are, right? There are always risks involved in surgeries, be it a minor op or major op. Even a small case like tonsillectomy, the patient could be bleeding internally..

Would really love to work 5 days week..Sats are always the lazy day, where i'll wake up later, take my own sweet time, and usually if its just cleaning, i can safely say i didn't bring my brains to work..haha!! But today's different..I was in EOT, and there was a spine case..Insert Arterial line, CVP line..Prone position already nvm, still got contact precaution also..haha..I took more than an hour to settle the case, clean up the huge mess..By the time i am settled, it was already 12.30, and time to leave..haha..

Next month i'm starting my 3 shifts..Hooray! I'll get my shift allowance! But kinda worried about night shifts..Only 3 AUs..1 already at the reception, left with 2 of us in theatre..Hope i have lucky stars over my head! hehe..
