Long & tiring week...
Finally! my day off after working for consecutive 7 days...But why am i awake at 9.30am?!? weird, i was hoping to catch up on my beauty sleep...

Its really a disastrous week for those in EOT...2 HOTA cases & 1 RTA who also died in just 1 day?!
It think there was 3 separate days of code blue heard in 1 week..Its the most no. of times i heard code blue in 1 day..my gosh..

On my friday morning, when i came at 8am, they were doing this BKA case from ICU, pt actually collapsed on us during a sciatic block! He became VT after we turned him lateral..We hurriedly turned him back supine, and started CPR, intubated him, defib him...adrenaline after adrenaline...He came back to sinus rhythm after a few consecutive shocks, so we transferred him back to his ICU bed. Just before we push him out, he turned VT again! So round 2 of shocks, adrenaline...And he is back again...So we decided to push him to ICU immediately..But during the 2 mins of travel to ICU, he turned back into VT..THinking back, it was comical, i think there was a total of 5 of us pushing the bed, and we were shouting as we entered ICU, "push crashcart, pt VT!"
In the end, sad to say, the pt was not saved..

THis didn't end my horrible friday..I was told to go down to the angio suite for AAA stenting in the afternoon as my junior may not be able to handle the situation downstairs..So i pushed all the equipment that they prepared, intubation trolley, drug cart, warmer, went down to set up the anaesthesia machine..It is so troublesome! I really think they should set up all these equipment downstairs..For every case that we do, we have to bring so many things along..ANd its really tiring if we forgot something, and have to run up and down from theatre to angio..Anyways, luckily the AAA case proceeded smoothly with no complications...

Yesterday, we went to escape theme park!! hahaha,,i havent been there since 3 or 4 years ago..It was closed for renovation some time back, but the place didn't change much, except for an additional haunted house, and i was disappointed the flume ride was closed for maintenance, and pepsi revolution and the indoor roller coster was taken down..It was chelle's 1st time there, and i think she was kind of scared in the beginning, but she became so gung-ho at the end! haha...She even was brave enough to walk the 1st in the haunted house! haha.. Actually, the haunted house isn't that scary after all, just some very disturbing half bodied, or grossly bloodied bodies lying on the ground, and i think we were scaring ourselves more, thinking that there are people who are dressed up as ghosts walking around to scare us..haha! But actually there isn't any, all of them are fixed to the ground..haha..I think we played all the rides that are possible to play, from the cadbury inverter, to the back breaking rollar coaster, very ticklish pirate ship, dizzy helicopter and superman rides, the revolving fly out to space spaceship, the tiniest ferris wheel, and the 2 person go-cart.

Overall, the 4 of us still had a lot of fun!! hahaha...If you want to go try, it is half-priced from now till jan 09, $8.80 for adults! (i think if it is full-priced, it is really not worth it! Go wild wild wet is even better!)

I've got another 5 long working weekdays, before fen's wedding on sat!! hehe, kind of exciting, she is keeping everything about her wedding under wraps, so i can't wait to see what surprises she is gonna have.. ^.^
